Aquarium

This past Thursday Baby Emily stayed home with her daddy so I took the opprotunity to take Hailey, Trinity and Jordan to the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium. We started the day with another Story Time at a different library where they did arts and crafts afterwards. Then we ran over to the grocery store to pick up some stuff for a picnic at the Aquarium and during the hecticness with 3 kids I lost my phone. After searching for a good hour..I had to give up so we could make it to the Aquarium and home in time. We set out on our one hour drive to the Aquarium..about 15 minutes into the drive they started the "Are we there yet" routine..for the rest of the 45 minutes. However when we got there they loved it! I've never seen them so excitied for something..and although I wanted to linger, read and learn about each fish they were going from one tank to the next. We finished the entire Aquarium in about 1 hour..spending most of our time in front of the giant shark tank. Hailey loved the seahorses, but I couldn't convince any of them to touch a crab or sting-ray (in a safety tank). After we had a picnic outside of the Aquarium and began the long drive home. All in all..a very fun day..but let's thank the lucky stars that I am not a mother of three!!

Super Silly Snack/Story Time

So I was looking around the area I live for some fun things for kids to do I found "Super Silly Snack and Story Time" completely free to the military. They have a snack time, where the kids create cool silly snacks and then eat them. Last week they did pineappple kibobs, with pineapple, cherries, and ham on a stick with orange marmalade on it. Afterwards they have a silly story time where they tell silly stories and have a felt board where they play the story out on. The kids loved it..and best of all it's every Wednesday!

Funtastic

This past weekend was a the hottest it's been all year..deadly!! (And I want to go back to Yuma...) However it did start with my little Hailey becoming her very own hair stylist..she decided to push a chair up to the counter grab with kitchen scissors and cut her own hair. I couldn't even be mad because she was so cute..I walk into the kitchen to a big pile of blonde frizzy hair. When I asked her why she cut her hair she told me " I wanted it shorter so you don't have to brush it anymore" The next morning we took her to the salon to get it fixed. As cute as she looks with bangs and a short hair, I will admit that I almost came to tears as they cut off her very pretty long hair which had gotton down to the middle of her back.

We also went to Funtastic, a free carnival for military children they have yearly on base. They had all kinds of stands where the kids could make masks, sandart, play playdough, blow bubbles, ballon animals, the list could go on and on. We were able to take Hailey to every stand and she all kinds of free things. Her favorite part was dancing up on the stage though..which she did for about 20 minutes..she loved it!

We had a very good Father's Day too..didn't do anything too special but we gave Daddy some gifts including..new sunglasses, new swimming trunks and some comfy socks that Hailey picked out all by herself. We made Daddy breakfast and played games all morning.

Summertime

So far the summer around here hasn't really heated up too much! Staying in the mid 80's..which is right where I like it! Sadly there has been a lot of rain :( We've down-sized the number of kids we watch to just 3 after little miss Naomi left us. Hailey really loved her but things have calmed down a lot around here. We've been keeping busy learning our number and letters..Hailey is so smart. We also got to do some fun finger-painting! We're going to go to aquarium in 2 weeks for our first field trip, the kids are so excitied!! We went to Grandma Rae's house this past weekend for a family dinner. Hailey just loves their little puppy Ginger, she tries to hold it like a baby..very cute! We are awaiting any news on Yuma..hopefully sometime in July or August we should know for sure!
