Fun Saturday

Just wanted to share some pictures from our Saturday. This morning Bryan "tried" to let me sleep in and I put tried in quotations because it just did not happen. He was very sweet to take Hailey on a walk to the park early this morning and got back at 740am and had to call me because he forgot a house key. Once I am awake..I am awake! However, it was a very sweet gesture. Then we did operation clean house, had a nice lunch and finished with a nap for all three of us. When we woke up we had plans to play outside but as you can see in the picture a very nasty storm was brewing..and VERY close to hitting us! So we hopped on the computer and saw that a cute kids movie was playing on base. So we ended up taking her to see that..during the movie the little girl did her parents make-up. What happened as soon as we got home?? Hailey pulled out all her play make-up that grandma bought her and did not only mommys but daddys make-up too. He was such a good sport..and she did his make-up a tad bit better than mine! :) Now we're off to play Monopoly..(my favorite)!!

Super Fun Day!

Today we had a really fun day!! Sometime it feels like I have three children rather than just one. It is just plain ol' exhausting! Being a daycare provider is a natural birth control : ) Since we got another car it's easier to take the kids to all the fun stuff they have going on around here! Today we went to story time and did arts and crafts. The kids made some silly glasses! Then we went to the park, had an early lunch and nap. After nap we packed up and went to a puppet show! It was so cute and the kids loved every second!!

Bryan's New Car!

The title speaks for itself. We found a really good deal on a car that Bryan has wanted for a long time and all the cards lined up so we bought it! It beautiful..and perfect for all of Bryans wants..needs! It was cute to see him all happy and excitied!

Farmer's Market!

So this past Sunday we drove 2 hours up to Raleigh, NC to go to the Farmer's Market. Hailey and I had gone before with Bryan's mom and grandma but I wanted to take him. We went to the Farmer's Market Restaurant first..they use all their food straight from the Farmer's Market. It is the freshest food! We loved it! After about an hour we finished lunch and the market. So we looked up local parks on our new gps and it pulled up a few (soo awesome!) and went to puller Park. It was the coolest park! It had train rides and boats rides and a huge merry-go-round. We rented a Peddler boat (we were allowed to use it for 30 minutes but Hailey was dont after about 20) We got up and close to ducks and fish. Hailey thought it was the coolest thing. We had a really good day! :)

Happy 4th of July!!

So this is a few days late but Bryan had from Thursday afternoon

until this morning off and we've been hanging out. We had a good 4th of July..we went to his mom's house, had some good ol' fashioned hamburgers and beans, homemade browines (by me), the kids played in the pool while we played cards..and ended the night with some sparklers and fireworks. Havelock is so small that we were able to sit in his parents front lawn and watch the town's firworks..with only a few tall trees blocking just a bit. They were still enjoyable! This is the first year that Hailey was actually excitied and had fun watching them. Every other year she's been so afraid that the fireworks would fall down on you and said they were too loud! I was very happy to see that she liked them so much.

Aquarium

This past Thursday Baby Emily stayed home with her daddy so I took the opprotunity to take Hailey, Trinity and Jordan to the Pine Knoll Shores Aquarium. We started the day with another Story Time at a different library where they did arts and crafts afterwards. Then we ran over to the grocery store to pick up some stuff for a picnic at the Aquarium and during the hecticness with 3 kids I lost my phone. After searching for a good hour..I had to give up so we could make it to the Aquarium and home in time. We set out on our one hour drive to the Aquarium..about 15 minutes into the drive they started the "Are we there yet" routine..for the rest of the 45 minutes. However when we got there they loved it! I've never seen them so excitied for something..and although I wanted to linger, read and learn about each fish they were going from one tank to the next. We finished the entire Aquarium in about 1 hour..spending most of our time in front of the giant shark tank. Hailey loved the seahorses, but I couldn't convince any of them to touch a crab or sting-ray (in a safety tank). After we had a picnic outside of the Aquarium and began the long drive home. All in all..a very fun day..but let's thank the lucky stars that I am not a mother of three!!

Super Silly Snack/Story Time

So I was looking around the area I live for some fun things for kids to do I found "Super Silly Snack and Story Time" completely free to the military. They have a snack time, where the kids create cool silly snacks and then eat them. Last week they did pineappple kibobs, with pineapple, cherries, and ham on a stick with orange marmalade on it. Afterwards they have a silly story time where they tell silly stories and have a felt board where they play the story out on. The kids loved it..and best of all it's every Wednesday!

Funtastic

This past weekend was a the hottest it's been all year..deadly!! (And I want to go back to Yuma...) However it did start with my little Hailey becoming her very own hair stylist..she decided to push a chair up to the counter grab with kitchen scissors and cut her own hair. I couldn't even be mad because she was so cute..I walk into the kitchen to a big pile of blonde frizzy hair. When I asked her why she cut her hair she told me " I wanted it shorter so you don't have to brush it anymore" The next morning we took her to the salon to get it fixed. As cute as she looks with bangs and a short hair, I will admit that I almost came to tears as they cut off her very pretty long hair which had gotton down to the middle of her back.

We also went to Funtastic, a free carnival for military children they have yearly on base. They had all kinds of stands where the kids could make masks, sandart, play playdough, blow bubbles, ballon animals, the list could go on and on. We were able to take Hailey to every stand and she all kinds of free things. Her favorite part was dancing up on the stage though..which she did for about 20 minutes..she loved it!

We had a very good Father's Day too..didn't do anything too special but we gave Daddy some gifts including..new sunglasses, new swimming trunks and some comfy socks that Hailey picked out all by herself. We made Daddy breakfast and played games all morning.

Summertime

So far the summer around here hasn't really heated up too much! Staying in the mid 80's..which is right where I like it! Sadly there has been a lot of rain :( We've down-sized the number of kids we watch to just 3 after little miss Naomi left us. Hailey really loved her but things have calmed down a lot around here. We've been keeping busy learning our number and letters..Hailey is so smart. We also got to do some fun finger-painting! We're going to go to aquarium in 2 weeks for our first field trip, the kids are so excitied!! We went to Grandma Rae's house this past weekend for a family dinner. Hailey just loves their little puppy Ginger, she tries to hold it like a baby..very cute! We are awaiting any news on Yuma..hopefully sometime in July or August we should know for sure!

Love

Today I turned on some music while I was cleaning. Music prompts Hailey to dance like crazy..which prompts me to take cute pictures. Then it turns into a photoshoot, so thought I would share some very cute pictures of my love.

This Memorial Day weekend we went camping! Bryan got 5 days off and I got about 4 and half, and while talking to my mom she was talking about going camping at the Grand Canyon and I thought it was such a good idea. We are having amazing weather and Hailey is ALWAYS talking about going camping. I called the camp ground on base and booked! As soon as all the kids left we packed up and left..I was so happy because we were only 5 minutes from our house! We were able to rent a camping package from the base that had everything we needed and more for camping. We grilled hotdogs, roasted marshmallows, went for a hike and went fishing. It was so much fun..except for TICKS and bugs for that matter! Gross..and I was so lucky to not get any but sadly Bryan got one two and my poor little love who loves playing in nature got two as well. She got one in her belly button and one one her chest. She thought they were spiders and were very brave as we pulled them out. We went to the lake and saw an amazing sunset..but when it was time for bed I called my mom and stayed up really late because I was too scared to sleep! After a very long night we scrambled eggs and bacon and considered staying another night until it started raining! Hailey loved it so much..I wasn't a big fan but I love doing things that Hailey loves doing. I'm sure we will do it again.

Yesterday we celebrated Hailey's 4th birthday! It was such a good day..we started our morning off at a lovely 6am..she knew when she woke up it was time to start "her" day. When she woke up we took her to her room (we let her sleep with us since we put the kitchen togther in her room) had her close her eyes and let her loose! She went crazy for the kitchen! I was so excitied that she loved it so much! Then we let her open 1 gift from us, her Cinderella Dress up-dress, since that is who she wanted to be at her princess party! Then we made her breakfast, Mickey Mouse Pancakes with fresh blueberries. We had this huge, amazing party planned for her..however the rain ruined that. Got to love NC weather :( Luckily my friend Danelle, let me use her house since mine is not big enough to entertain that many people. We played "Pin the Princess on the Castle" Hailey did get it the closest but we let someone else win..and did arts and crafts. We decorated birthday hats with stickers and did a Pinata. Hailey got lots of gifts and really had a wonderful birthday party! Happy Birthday to my little love..I am very sad that she is another year older..I want her to stay little forever. I definitely want to make every one of her days as special as possible because they really will not last much longer!

Getting ready for a BIG suprise!

I am posting pictures of the Kitchen Bryan and I JUST finished at 11:15pm putting it together after Hailey's 8:40 bedtime. It is gigantic and so adorable! She is just going to go crazy..I can't wait for her to wake up in the morning and the look on her face to see it! It's a walk-in kitchen wiuth a grill, fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave.. even it's very own hardwood floors..everything! This is honestly incredible..we were playing with it for a little bit..I'm sure I will have my little chef make me many meals in here. We're having a big party for her tommorrow too..guess I should get to bed! :)

Happy Anniversery!

This past Friday, Bryan and I celebrated our 3 year anniversery! It has gone by so very fast..I really hope our next 40 years together go by a lot slower :) We had a nice evening out. We took Hailey to dinner with us since we love her so much! Then we dropped her off at a good friend's and went to the movies and did a little shopping. I love my amazing hubby so very much!

Mother's Day

I had a very nice Mother's Day this year. Saturday Bryan took Hailey "to get his hair cut" and when they got home Hailey was so excitied about a suprise for mommy..needless to say their cover was blown but I acted clueless. This morning when I woke up I called Hailey to my room for some morning love. She brought me flowers, cards, a cake and a very good smelling coconut lime candle..my favorite! I was then cooked a wonderful breakfast and a nice long bath. We then went and did a little shopping and stopped to get hotdogs from this very nice old man at a NY style hotdog stand. Hailey thought it was so cool to watch him make our hotdogs. We took Hailey to the carnival for the last day in which I got very sun burned :( I still had a good day though and I am very lucky to have such an amazing little Hailey :)

May Maynia

This weekend Camp Lejeune is having a free carnival on base! We went everyday last year and we're going everyday again this year! Carnival's are so expensive why not take advantage of a free one!? Hailey loves every second of it, she is quite a thrill seeker..wanting to go on the biggest and fastest rides..no matter how sick they make mommy and daddy. As we left on Friday night we sat and listened to a live concert of a very good Christian Rock band, Hailey loved it telling me that they were singing about "Jesus and when he left" I told her that Jesus has never left us. But I did get some cute pictures of her dancing. She even tried to run up on stage to sing with them, I had to do hard sprint to catch her in time! We're counting down 7 more days until Hailey's birthday! She is so excitied, even though I am very sad..I told her I wish she could stay 3 forever and she told me no she need to "grow to be a big girl just like you mommy" aww she's so sweet :)

Happy Early Mother's Day!

This past Sunday was celebrated our Mother's Day a week early. Bryan's parents, and grandma will be gone next weekend..cruising the Carribbean. So we had a late lunch Bryan's bbq chicken and some corn on the cob, ended with a strawberry Mother's Day Cake made by none other than me! A perfect summer meal. We traded gifts and said our good-byes. We also got a good picture of all the "mothers" Sara, Rae, Rosey, Alicia, and Amy. The next time we see them all will be for Hailey's 4th Birthday in two weeks! She is so excitied and extremely impatient for her big bash ;)

Busy

This past Saturday was a pretty busy one for us. It all started with a 6 am wake up from Hailey, she starting crying about her ear hurting. So I got up and took her to the ER on base. We were so lucky because total time gone was only 1 and 40 minutes including going to the Pharmacy. She did have an ear infection, and because she gets them so often it looks like she will have to get tubes put in her ears if she gets one more with-in the next month or so. Then after taking her gazillion medications we took her to the beach to take some birthday pictures. We built a sandcastle and collected some seashells. Then we went home, had lunch..and went shopping with Miss Danelle and baby Emily. Afterwards we came home, got daddy and went to get the rest of Hailey's party supplies. We decided that we were much to tired to cook and grabbed dinner at Applebees. We then headed over to Blockbuster and rented BOLT for a family movie night. After Bryan and Hailey fell asleep on the couch I baked my cake for the next day and cleaned the house. My day ended at 11pm. Loooong day!

Yuma

We had such a nice time in Yuma, we got home this past Wednesday at 2 am! Blah! We got to lots of fun things while we there though. We went to the Yuma Prison, which we were suprised to find out Bryan had never been! We took Hailey to the Creative Playground..which she always loves. Went to feed the ducks. We had game night..my friend Erika came over to play with us. We spent a good amount of time with Erika and her very adorable baby Bella. Hailey and grandma made cookies too..very good ones at that! We had a nice relaxing week. Our travel was so smooth and easy too..no major issues and I must say being military gets some pretty nice money saving perks we didn't have to pay for our luggage..we got to go to the USO and get a free dinner during our layover in Houston and we got a 10 percent discount on our parking..saving us over about 100 dollars total. Very nice! We are glad to be home though..it's warming up here and our A/C isn't working so I am prtty grumpy right now..79 in my house! I usually have it at 70.. :( But we have a birthday party to go to so hopefully by the time we get home it will cool down!

Legoland!

On Tuesday night we landed in San Diego..it was a very long drooling day. We stayed the night in San Diego and went to Legoland the next day. Legoland was a blast! It was amazing! Hailey loved every second of it..and even though it was very windy and cold we got to do a lot of really fun things. Hailey even went on the largest roller coaster in the park..and LOVED it! I think she will be like her daddy and mommy (we love roller coasters) Hailey, Kayla, Bryan and I raced in a firemans race. We had to put out a fire and race the firtruck back..we got second place!
We also got a really good picture of all of us!

Happy Easter!

We had a very nice Easter this year! Last year was so lonely and emotional because Bryan was to come home just days after the holiday. Hailey though that the Easter bunny forgot about her because he didnt put the basket in her room. Then she noticed the eggs around the house that the "Easter Bunny" hid and ran out to see her basket in the living room. Then we hunted for eggs, she was able to find most without any help! We also went to a very lovely service at our Church and then went to Bryan's moms house. I made an Easter Cake out of cupcakes, it turned out so cute. We opened more baskets and had another Easter Egg hunt at Grandma Rae's house. We got a very cute picture of Hailey and all of her cousins starting with Soul'Ja, J'Lynn, Isiah, Meena, and Hailey :) We had a very fun Easter. Today we start packing for our trip to Yuma tommorrow! Yay, so excitied!
